We took these pictures a few weeks ago on Mother’s Day. It was a pretty busy day as it was also my mother in law’s birthday. But I kind of love these days packed with family occasions, especially when the weather is as nice as it was on that Sunday.

While we were driving out to the countryside we passed a lot of blooming canola fields. I’ve got to admit that the smell of canola is not for everyone. I like it though – I guess, that’s because I grew up in a small village and the smell of canola always brings back beautiful childhood memories.

I wore my new red off-shoulder dress and was happy to finally take it out of my closet. I think this dress and the color of it totally scream summer! 🙂 I combined it with this straw tote, which i got years ago on Ibiza and this old Italian straw hat my mother gave to me.
