Día De Los Muertos
In a few days it’s Day of the Dead and I thought I am going to surprise you guys with a different kind of post. The Día de los Muertos celebrations are originally from Mexico and besides the beautiful calaveras makeup I really like their cheerful way of honoring and remembering the dead.
So I composed my Día de los Muertos outfit by wearing different layers of black tulle. The first layer is a black petticoat similar to this skirt. On top of the petticoat I am wearing a tulle dress like this really cute one and above a black lace top with trumpet sleeves – almost like this one or this one. My last layer is a cocktail dress with little black flowers all over it. I found other cute options to wear for a similar style like mine without having to combine so many layers – this lace dress with really pretty trumpet sleeves, this one with velvet and lace and this gorgeous dress, which is my favorite. Plus you can just wear them for a nice romantic dinner or any festive occasion. To polish my look I tried very hard with my calaveras makeup and I really hope you like it. At the end I slipped into my black shiny boots (last seen here with a cute floral dress and here with a zebra print dress) and put on this gigantic flower crown and was ready to go.
Although the Day of the Dead and Halloween are not necessarily linked with each other, I would love to know if you go on any Halloween parties and what kind of costumes you are going to wear.
Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments all the time!
