Denim, the timeless fabric that has been a staple in fashion for decades, continues to evolve the fashion world. Today denim looks have taken on a trendy and exciting twist, bringing forth new interpretations of this beloved material.
Denim skirts have also been reinvented to align with the current fashion landscape. Midi skirts are back but mini skirts, in particular, are enjoying a revival, showcasing various design elements like frayed edges, asymmetrical hemlines, or button-front closures. These playful skirts are perfect for summer. The one I’m wearing here is actually not a skirt but some denim shorts worn with the bottom part of a denim jacket I cropped.
One of the hottest denim trends is the resurgence of wide-leg jeans. These beauties elongate the silhouette and create a relaxed yet sophisticated vibe. They offer a refreshing break from the skinnies that dominated the fashion scene for so long. I’m wearing mine with the denim jacket I cropped. I love to wear them together like a suit.
Denim is the perfect match with silver metallic pieces. I dug up an old denim dress I wasn’t wearing anymore, since I felt it looked too cute on me. After adding some silver metallic pants and cowboy boots the problem was solved.
Last but not least I want to add one important thing: The production of denim pieces is definitely not environmentally friendly, so always think twice before purchasing something new. The coolest parts of these looks are the ones I’ve created by reinventing something old I already had in my closet.
