I’ve noticed that pink is probably one of my favorite colors for a very long time now. Therefore this pink dress is obviously one of my favorite dresses too at the moment. And since I am a color lover I often think about colors and there effect and symbolism. So I thought let’s talk about the color pink:
The color pink is definitely a strong and bold color. When you mix red (the color of passion) and white (the color of purity) you get pink. Therefore pink often symbolizes love, nurture and compassion. Some psychology studies suggest that the color pink stimulates calmness.
Pink is often characterized as a girls’ color. It has not always been like this. Our society created this association. In the mid-18th century, pink was a fashionable color among male and female aristocrats as a symbol of class and luxury. Only by the 1940s and 1950s, color associations became more defined due to marketing and advertising strategies.
So what do you think? Is pink for everyone? I personally think everybody should wear whatever color she or he wants and loves!
