My mom takes her Christmas decorations very seriously. 😉 Every year she is so excited to get the house ready for Christmas and she decorates it so pretty. She always has a beautiful holiday wreath – either a very modern one or a more classic one. She really is the master in these kind of things. Since my dad always says that I am so similar in character to my mother, I guess that’s why one of my favorite things about the Christmas time is to decorate our home. I like simple and classic Christmas decorations like this holiday wreath with just a red satin bow – I am not soooo much about glitter and kitsch when it comes to holiday decorations… 🙂

This year I created different kinds of holiday wreaths by myself. I was collecting different kind of branches during our walks in the forest. I made very thin wreaths out of different pine branches and hung them in our windows with a green satin bow. As we painted our fireplace black I created a wreath out of larch tree branches and painted their cones gold to have a nice contrast to the black fireplace.
