We had a beautiful, relaxing and at the same time adventurous summer weekend packed with friends and family. On Saturday we went for a swim with my sister, her husband and our cute, little niece. At the end of the day after lots of talking and fun, we had a barbecue at their house and got ready for an early start the next day.
Sunday was a hiking day and our friends were planning a tour for all of us in Tirol. Our day started early with a two-hour-drive to Austria. But it was worth it and we were enjoying nature’s beauty. We made it all the way up to the mountain top (yes, I still have sore muscles… :/ ) and stayed there for a few minutes to let it all sink in. It was just incredibly pretty! We were wondering though why the cross was lying on the ground and read later that there is a guy, who is chopping summit crosses down…
After hiking back to the hut, we took a break and ordered some lunch. They had all different kinds of dumplings (my favorite) and I ordered some spinach dumplings with mountain cheese – yummyyyyy!!! 😉
For a hiking day you should be prepared. Most important thing is of course hiking shoes, water, some snacks and a hat. This day it was getting really hot, so I decided to wear my denim shorts and an off-shoulder top. As it still can get pretty fresh in the forests, I decided to bring my plaid shirt to keep me warm in the early hours.
I hope you all had an amazing weekend and a good and fresh start into the week!
