As a few of you probably already know from my last post, I booked a late summer vacation to expand my summer for a few more days. My parents have a vacation house in the south of Spain, where I spent my holidays since I was a little baby. I love to go there as firstly it’s just beautiful, secondly a little location change is always good to recharge your batteries and last but not least it always feels like home to me. The best thing is to go there during off season, because it’s not that hot and overcrowded. Plus when you go after the summer holidays (instead of before) the sea is at a perfect temperature as it warmed up all summer. 🙂

So a few days ago it was packing day for me and I thought I would share with you a few of my packing tips… First of all I have to tell you (probably against your assumptions) I always travel with hand luggage. In my opinion it’s more effortless given that you don’t have to come more early to the airport to check in your luggage, you don’t have to wait for your luggage after landing and you can always be sure, that your luggage arrives at the same time as you are. 😉 And by the way although I travel only with carry-on luggage I was never short of various outfit options. Haha!

When I travel I always make sure to bring different sunglasses as I like to make the right choice in matching the outfit. I usually put my sunglasses into my purse, but this time I brought too many, so I decided to put some into my suitcase. In this case you always have to make sure, you put them into a solid case, so they won’t break. I always put the ones, which didn’t come in a stable box into a firm purse, this way you also don’t waste the space inside of your bags. In case you want to bring a hat and you don’t want to wear it during the flight, you should always fill it with a scarf or a pareo, so it will stay in shape.

While traveling I always want to feel comfortable and good. Which doesn’t mean I am wearing jogging pants (as I am not so much the sporty type), but something in a more loose shape. The temperature on an airplane is usually a little bit chilly – so flying during summer means you either dress suitable for the weather and will be freezing during the flight or you dress warm and will feel hot all the time you are not on the airplane. So what I always do is I put some socks, leggings and maybe a light scarf into my bag, as these don’t take up much space.
